Veja São Paulo: “Portrait photographer acclaimed in Europe opens first solo show in Brazil” – Acervo Migratório by Emilia Brandão Carneiro.
Paulistana photographer Emília Brandão Carneiro presents her first solo show in Brazil, after building a career in Europe over the past seventeen years.
Acervo Migratório, opening on March 22 from 12 to 6 p.m., brings together a selection of photographic series made in France between 2016 and 2022.
Emília began her career as an assistant to Bob Wolfenson and Romulo Fialdini, moved to Madrid for a master’s degree in photography, and established herself as a portrait photographer for publications such as Vogue, Glamour and Elle.
At the opening, dancer Marina Droghetti, who is portrayed by Emília in one of the works on view, will give a performance. The exhibition is curated by Luiza Testa.
